I had lunch in this restaurant today Sunday, before doing some bird "shooting" in the nearby nature reserve at the easternmost shores of the Neuchâtel lake. The palm-trees embracing the entrance should have made me suspicious but since I had reserved by telephone from my car I buried my feelings and entered. The decoration leaves a lot to be desired and the owners should definitely refurbish their chairs, that are loosing their cover. Food is OK with Estonian filets of perch that are decently priced for a Sunday lunch whereas most of the meat dishes are overpriced. I had a rather bland beet root colored gorgonzola risotto and a glass of really good Petite Arvine white wine served by a kind and efficient staff. The selection of wine by the glass is very restricted.

A simple and refined decoration but very friendly. Whether it’s the salad sauce, the morel and asparagus puff pastry, the homemade butter, the risotto or the dessert, the tastes are there and it was a delight!

We have now come to the start of the game season. Wonderful pumpkin soup like it was homemade by the grandma. Followed by a wonderful deer pepper, really delicately garnished with all the classic ingredients. Here too you can smell and taste everything that is freshly prepared with passion. A recommendation and a safe value for game lovers. The wine selection also leaves nothing to be desired. In addition, the food and wine are priced to be really enjoyable. A big bravo to Alline and Kevin, we'll definitely be back!!
