Restaurant zur Post, Rehetobel : Dorf 6, 9038 Rehetobel

Yesterday we went there spontaneously for a two-course dinner. The Diepoldsau asparagus with Zabaione (instead of Sc. Hollandaise) was a poem!! We like going to Monika and Paul: great, seasonal, imaginative cuisine, very nice and personal service and a wonderful ambience, and always relaxed in a very good way. We have feasted there as a couple or with friends on five-course menus a la carte, enjoyed the theme evenings and celebrated a family celebration. Always my pleasure!

Very personal and highly ambitious cuisine with outstanding quality. The menu with wine accompaniment was a bit long, but the two hosts gave their full effort and showed themselves at the table, caring and serving in a motherly manner. That's more than enough of an excuse. A constructive criticism might be “a little bit of everything”. The dishes are selected, prepared and served with the highest standards. Unfortunately, the individual delicacies appear somewhat random in their abundance and as a whole and show more of the ambition of the kitchen than the focus on the product. As a guest, you wouldn't be disappointed at all, even if you could offer a little less, but more accentuated courses... All in all - a highly recommended restaurant and also worth a trip without a helicopter.
