Last night, I had the pleasure of enjoying a family dinner with my brothers-in-law at La Balance restaurant in Essertines. The atmosphere of this village restaurant is warm and friendly, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The cuisine, a delicious blend of Italian and regional specialties, delighted our taste buds. I particularly enjoyed the lightly beechwood smoked beef, a tender and perfectly cooked meat from the Frésard butcher shop in Montagny. The portions are generous, even for a big eater like me, and the dishes were beautifully presented. A special mention goes to the assortment of desserts, especially the pistachio crème brûlée, an original and absolutely fabulous creation. The other desserts were also very good. The service was impeccable. Our waitress was polite, friendly, cheerful, and very efficient, and she was attentive to our needs throughout the meal, even going so far as to provide us with Wi-Fi access. A highlight of the evening was the attentiveness of the chef, Antonio Auteri, who came to ask our opinions on the dishes and was very attentive to our comments. This friendliness helped make our meal even more enjoyable. The value for money is, in my opinion, excellent, and I even consider La Balance the best restaurant in the region in this category. The only negative, if I have to choose one, is that the time passes far too quickly!

Very pleasant service, advice, and portion sizes. The food was delicious. I was offered the tartare beforehand to see if it was spicy enough. 👍🏻 Local wine was recommended, and we enjoyed it very much.
