A hearty journey through Bavarian cuisine: Knödel Weber impresses with pork knuckle, dumplings, and sauerkraut As a lover of hearty, traditional Bavarian cuisine, my visit to Knödel Weber was a promising experience. The announcement of pork knuckle with dumplings and sauerkraut made my heart race, and I was not disappointed. The pork knuckle: The centerpiece of the dish presented itself as a true gem. The crust was crispy and golden brown, with a satisfying crunch every time it was cut. The meat underneath was tender and juicy, easily falling off the bone and practically melting in the mouth. The flavor was intense and savory without being overpowering. You could taste the quality of the meat and the careful preparation. The dumplings: The name "Knödel Weber" certainly promises a lot when it comes to dumplings, and these expectations were met. Two decent potato dumplings were served, which impressed with both their texture and flavor. They were light and fluffy, yet still held their shape well enough to absorb the rich sauce. The slightly earthy flavor of the potatoes harmonized wonderfully with the seasoning of the knuckle and the tangy sauerkraut. The sauerkraut: The sauerkraut rounded off the dish pleasantly. It wasn't too sour, but rather had a pleasant balance between acidity and tang. The texture was pleasantly firm and not overcooked. It served as a welcome contrast to the heaviness of the knuckle and the dumplings, providing a refreshing element. The overall picture: The combination of the crispy knuckle, the fluffy dumplings, and the spicy sauerkraut was a true delight. The portion was generous, so you certainly didn't leave the table feeling hungry. The presentation of the dish was rustic and appetizing, without unnecessary frills—just as you would expect from a traditional Bavarian dish. Conclusion: My visit to Knödel Weber was a complete success. The pork knuckle with dumplings and sauerkraut not only met my expectations, but even exceeded them. The quality of the ingredients, the meticulous preparation, and the authentic flavor speak for themselves. If you're looking for a hearty and traditional Bavarian dish, I highly recommend Knödel Weber. Here, you'll get honest and tasty cuisine at a fair price. The only minor drawback might be the somewhat rustic atmosphere for some, but for me, that's precisely what contributed to the authentic experience. I'd be happy to come back!
No vacation without dumpling weavers ;) Full and happy every time! Thanks for the great vegetarian and vegan options. The dumpling lasagna, the Bohemian dumplings with mushroom cream sauce and the Toffifee dumplings are legendary! Very friendly, very familiar, very fair prices. It's worth calling beforehand. Until next time :D
